Odd Encounters
Despite his insistence to refuse, I decided to accept the procedures
July of 1999;
On the morning of a scheduled back surgery, my good friend and Neurosurgeon entered my
hospital room and informs my wife and I that he was no longer
practicing medicine as of
midnight
last night.
He spoke of the
excellence of his hour away colleague Neurosurgeon
and that he only wanted him to
operate on me.
I'm lateraled to
his colleague
who views my condition so detrimental that he
expeditiously operates on me. He performs a very
successful discectomy complicated by an exploded fragmented disc and a sciatic
nerve that was lifted up and out of channel. I go home. Days later, I encounter
extreme pain to a level never encountered before. UHC transfers me back by
ambulance to his colleague, who determines an hour three hour earlier MRI that
was done elsewhere was pure error and
not reflective of my condition and he was correct, angrily stating so. Days in the hospital follow, twisting and
gritting my teeth in agony.
| The Neurosurgeon believes my deep spinal
trunk muscles have contracted where he wants to administer Botox
injections to release the engaged deep spinal length trunk muscle/s.
However, his treatment plan is stalled by political interference which
left me in a permanent twisted form. (A primary care later diagnosing my having acquired a catheter staff
infection during surgery that inflamed an internal organ and my muscles
contracted in response, a painful reaction to a painful reaction. It happens). |
Note:
I forwarded notifications about potential interferences that contradicted an
extensive WV legal website thus
obscuring information that could've shed light on systemic issues within the
healthcare system or related legal frameworks in West Virginia. In any regard,
the massive website was immediately removed with a single welcome page with an 800 number in its place.
A few months later, Verizon's so-called ruthless Medical Contractor CORE
notified me about a requested second opinion from West Virginia. The
agent informed me that he had difficulty locating a doctor willing to
"override" my treating neurosurgeon. However, he
eventually found one in a remote town in West Virginia. The agent
stating it was too far for me to travel given my
condition and suggested that I needed to refuse the appointment. Despite his
insistence to refuse, I decided to accept the
procedures and made the appointment anyway.
The second opinion surgeon's
harsh criticism of both my primary care and
my treating combined with his undermining of their treatment
plans with his biased comments about their ethnicity,
illustratiing a deeply problematic attitude. Ignoring a
well-considered treatment plan and insisting on my immediate
return to work, despite evident health issues, demonstrates a
pre-arranged lack of understanding of my condition. His
Interference undermined the
expertise of my actual medical team, placing myself in a
precarious position, exacerbating my health challenges and
seriously affecting my recovery. The support from my peers
highlighting the importance of a supportive work environment,
yet it's clear that returning to work without proper care was
not a sustainable solution, as I don't last extending all for a
long time.

1999- 2001

Members of our local community
were aware of my then condition as it resulted in a well-documented contorted
physical presence whose pain level and contortion increased as each day
progressed. Over time, we visited multiple
treating facilities where my condition was always diagnosed as irreversible.
However, we eventually found a well-regarded Orthopedic Therapist in
Pennsylvania who performed a long study of my condition, movements, and history.
The Diagnosis being the longevity of
my condition resulted in one side of shrunken and shortened deep shoulder to
trunk muscles that had pulled my right pelvis and shoulder together. The Orthopedic Therapist stated
that the Botox injections that then treating Neurosurgeon White had ordered
would have worked at the acute onset. Whereas, my then current medical condition
was caused by whoever Interfered with the
operative Neurosurgeon.
